This place was an absolute treat. Me and my wife spent the new year here and it was everything we wanted and more. Gentlemen, if your looking to treat your loved one to a special countryside getaway this is for sure the place to book. Cottage has been refurbed to a very high standard and the location is amazing. Small village a mile away offered great food and walking trails for all levels. Probably one of the only places ive been were the reality was way better than the pictures. Owners were on hand to assist with any request we had and could not fault the entire experience for sure we will be back to the shippon in the future and this place gets 10 out of 10 in all areas.

Lovely little place, our 2nd stay with sylvia and frank. 1st stay back in February in bluebell cottage , fabulous ! So we thought we would give the Nook a try. Pristinely clean, very comfortable furniture and bed. Great shower , very well equipped kitchen if you wanted to make a meal . A great outdoor area with a BBQ if you wanted to use it. A lovely little Nook in North Wales. Lot of places to visit within a short drive, right on the edge of Snowdonia national Park. Lovely walking nearby. Llanrwst is a 10 minute drive away with plenty of places to eat for all budgets. Lots of takeaways to choose from too. we can highly recommend them all. From the Kebab House to the fish and chips. All delicious. I know that we have found a little Gem in Sylvia and Frank's place and can safely say that we will return Helen and Graham

    Thought it was a lovely hotel however hotel internet was down so car wasn't registered for free parking resulted in parking fine. Despite several phone calls and emails sent the issue has not been sorted by management despite being reassured that action would be taken by today. Very disappointing.

    Lovely bedroom and facilities inside the hotel. Close to some bars and amenities. Great for a relaxing break. Breakfast was included Free parking Left some jewellery at the property and this was promptly returned back to me which I was extremely happy with how they dealt with it.

    This is an old Gothic Victorian hotel. A coat of armour meets you on arrival. The village is a good centre for the area. It is next to the river and the old bridge. The breakfast is huge and the price is very economical. The hotel serves good pub food. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a system to ensure free parking. The room was pleasant, and even included an ironing board. There was a large bathroom.
