The location is amazing, quiet and picturesque. Downstairs all open plan and for a cottage had plenty of space. All cutlery etc there. Extremely clean. The beds were super comfy, we all slept extremely well. View of hills and sheep with all the bouncing baby lambs. Great tearoom(amazing homemade cakes) and guesthouse (The Mortal Man, fabulous food) walking distance for eating out. There was 4 adults and we had plenty of space as main bedroom has en suite the other couple had the bathroom to themselves. It was like a home from home.

The view was sublime! The bed was very comfortable. The landlady was very kind and friendly. I love a little touch such as a cookie or a slice of homemade cake every day in the room! The parking area was very spacious and had enough room for all guests! I truly hope to stay there again!

Booked a quad room (for 4 people) but were given a room for 8 when we got there. The room was spacious, clean, lots of plug sockets, fantastic views of the surrounding area. Shared bathroom facilities were good. The on-site bar and kitchen were great and prices very reasonable. Self-catering kitchen was compact, but well equipped. Didn't struggle to get parking.

Location and value for money. What we did not know, until we arrived, is that there is a parking space in front of the cottage off the road. Great place to start walks from. The Mortal Man, the local pub, is a great place with friendly staff, amazing food, beer and a great place if you want to meet locals to have a chat with.

Really nice location, clearly signposted. Outdoor and indoor seating for relaxation and meals. Restaurant on site in you don't want to cook but also the added kitchen for those self catering that has all you need. Toilets are shared but plenty of them so it's not so bad, and the rooms are decently sized. Plenty of parking on site and free of charge.

Parking was a bonus, as even if staying in the heart of Bowness you’re still not guaranteed a parking spot… Also £88 for a twin room for one night was excellent value, and a taxi into Bowness wasn’t that expensive… Also the views on the outdoor terrace were amazing, and dog friendly…
