Located upon a hill over looking the harbour the Abuesi Beach Resort is a great choice to stay for a night or more. The owner Samuel is very welcoming and ensures that you have an excellent stay. He also went above and beyond, helping show us the Fort San Sebastian at Shama. The bar / restaurant has a really good selection of beers and other drinks available, and the food was excellent. Our room had AC, fridge, and a TV, with a sea view from the balcony. They are currently in the process of installing a swimming pool with adjoining bar.

Beautiful place in a garden with beautiful plants and bushes. No noise. The swimming pool is small but clean. Next beach is Africa beach in 10 minutes walking distance. The rooms are big and have a modern and very comfortable king size bed. Air conditioning is also modern and well maintained. I felt at home there from the moment I checked in because all the personnel there is so friendly and helpful. Free airport transfer! The breakfast in the restaurant was excellent (I was asking for omelette every day) and it was served by a super friendly smiling waitress every morning. Perfect!

I had an amazing stay at Bassi Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Everything was on point. The Host was very pleasant and accommodating, the apartment was surprisingly hugh, clean, decor tastefully done very modern. Rooms and beds were comfortable. Quiet neighborhood serene environment Breakfast was simple and nice. I traveled with my family and the children had lots to entertain them. There was a swing set and ping pong table for them to play. Which they did. Swing needs updating but it was fine. Overall I would highly recommend for a small family vacation.

Great breakfast, REAL coffee in French Press and delicious cuisine in general, especially fresh fish with banku. In general, I have visited many resorts in the close Busua area (as well as many other resorts in Ghana), but Afro Beach is genuinely something completely different. It is a unique combination of place (calm, quiet, untouched), housing (new and done thoughtfully with a passion), and personal (especially the owner - Francis - who is one of the most interesting people I have met). His motto (that he wants people to be happy) is not just a phrase. He can provide anything you want, also walking with you to a party in Busua or to Butre and so on and so forth. So, don't hesitate to visit Afro Beach; even Francis' story and personality are entirely worthy of doing so.
