This place is a gem, it makes you feel at home straight away. The hosts were absolutely wonderful and welcoming, we enjoyed our stay very much. As an added bonus, we had the best meal at the local taverna in the village. Absolutely recommended.

The location is as good as it gets, quiet, beautiful views, beautiful garden and just 5 m walk from an excellent taverna ! Truly exceptional location. The house itself is as charming as they come, like a little house out of old fairy tales, lots of character, not like a generic Ikea furnished room :-) And I have to mention the host, Agatha and her husband, as sweet and helpful as I have met. Agatha, thank you for a lovely stay.

We absolutely loved La Moara. It’s in the middle of the remote Valia Calda mountains, cozy and warm - fires in the bedrooms, fur rugs on the chairs, no sound but birdsong and the river running below. Some rooms are in treehouses and some are on wooden walkways. We had the warmest welcome I can remember from the owners and Petra. They were incredibly friendly and kind, and made us a delicious dinner full of local specialities and a lavish home cooked breakfast. We had a fantastic time exploring the valley - we found bear prints on the bank downstream! Valia Calda is in the Pindus national park so is full of incredible wild animals and plants. It was glorious to be so taken care of and feel so close to nature. This would be a wonderful place to watch the seasons change. We didn’t have time to check out the sauna and Turkish bath but I imagine it would be especially lovely in winter.

The porch gives you great views of the mountains. really friendly and welcoming hosts. plenty parking space. the house is very spacious. Balcony with again amazing views in all bedrooms, which all had super comfortable beds. The doggie is super friendly and playful. Good base to explore meteora and avouiding the main touristic location.
