The owner Reza is really lovely and speaks perfect English (with a British accent!). Tangkahan was a nice change from the much more touristy Bukit Lawang. We especially enjoyed our jungle tour, including tubing on the river, it was one of the most magical moments of our trip!! We also enjoyed mingling with locals and bathing at the nearby riverbank. You should definitely not miss out on this more remote part of the jungle!

An incredible place. We had the pleasure of staying in a wonderful villa, where we felt very well received by Dedycool. They offer a delicious breakfast for a great start to the day. The atmosphere at all times was very pleasant, relaxed and full of happiness. The experience of trekking through the jungle with them was absolutely spectacular. The guides, Hamed and Janet, were exceptional, demonstrating great professionalism and knowledge. Without a doubt an experience that I would recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay here. It is a comfy and very convenient guesthouse. The staff is really kind and helpfull. They also organize great trekking tours to the jungle. And the location of the guest house is great. Right next to the river. From the terasse you can look down on the river and enjoy the village life.

Very clean and modern bungalows and very friendly staff! The restaurant serves really good food. Gino also arranged a very professional and fun 2-day jungle trekking from the premises. Would love to come back. The staff is really helpful and are there to make sure you have a wonderful time.

Beautifully maintained gardens and incredibly friendly staff at the Travelodge. We opted for a 2 day, 1 night jungle trek to go for orangutan spotting. Our guide Selemat was very supportive and an expert on everything in the jungle. His knowledge and experience meant that we saw 9 orangutan in 2 days when some trekkers didn’t see any! Special shout out to our cook Padly, who treated us to a sensational Indonesian dinner in the middle of the jungle! Terima kasih!
