We spent 3 perfect days at Riana homestay with our two daughters. The rooms are clean and confortable and the homestay is in a quiet area of Rantepao. The breakfast was delicious ! We have also spent 2 magic days visiting the Toraja country via the homestay guide service: Forget Ketekesu, you will visit much better places to see tongonan villages, forget he main roads, you will pass throught scenic little road full of bambou and palms forest ! The ceremony we participed joining the family meal was also great (it was much better than being parked with the other tourists into the tourist area)! Thank you Riana homestay

Sanggalangi is a wonderful little home stay nestled away from the hustle of the busy street. It is clean, hot water is a plus with abundant quiet seating and eating places on the ground and first floors. Food is outstanding, healthy and plentiful! The home stay is run by a gorgeous team, especially Peso and his lovely wife. Peso is a font of knowledge on everything regarding Toraja culture. I learnt so much. His happy nature, adaptability to everyone’s needs and kindness made my stay perfect. Thankyou Peso.

Really lovely, modern, tranquil hotel - good decoration, kind of a cool "Bali" vibe with concrete, wood and good design. Amazing views of quiet rice paddy fields. Communal area and restaurant is a nice place to hang out in the evenings. Staff are friendly and helpful - and should you need help with planning amazing local guidance for tours/visits to funeral ceremonies and grave sites etc. with excellent knowledge, then ask for Rashid who can help you plan both guides and driver. We went out with Yohannes (guide) and Mingu (driver) and we had such a lovely few days with them; they went above and beyond to make sure we saw everything we wanted and more and were so knowledgeable in sharing information about the local traditions and culture. Highly educational and lovely!

Highly recommended! I have never experienced so much helpfulness anywhere else. The accommodation is clean, in a good location, in a nice environment. The owner and his whole family are extremely friendly. They are always ready to help with anything: organizing tours, getting to know the area, information about culture and anything else. We had a great time at Villa Bait Lino, Lukas and his family are very nice people and invested to make you spend a good time. The place is beautiful, you sleep just in front of the rices fields and the mountains. I absolutely recommend this place to discover the toraja culture. Also i would recommand Marco as a guide to help you discover Toraja, he is a very nice person, commited to his work and he'll tell you everything you need to know about the toraja culture.
