We had a lovely greeting at the reception and the lady walked us to our room insisting to help carry our bags. The food was exceptional .. we had evening meal in the beautiful restaurant, breakfast the following morning and lunch that afternoon before going home. The staff are very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed drinks in the bar and live music and had a brilliant night. The area around is stunning with the beach right outside the hotel. The cliff walk and harbour are nearby.

I can't recommend Thistledown Lodge enough. Martin & Enda made us feel welcome from the first minute on. The lodge is very stylish. Our room was very clean, well equipped, comfortable & quiet. The cooked vegetarian breakfast was excellent - it's always a plus if there are vegan/vegetarian options apart from muesli&yogurt. The place also has a very spacious outdoor-gym and a cosy sitting-area to enjoy drink or two. :)

What a beautiful room with breathtaking views of the sea! Colleen was such a warm and helpful host, making us feel completely welcome from the moment we arrived. As two dads traveling with our child, we appreciated how comfortable and at ease we felt throughout our stay. The charming seaside resort setting was perfect, and parking right in front of the house on the street was wonderfully convenient. The combination of spectacular scenery, genuine hospitality, and that cozy, family-friendly atmosphere made this perhaps our most memorable accommodation during our entire Ireland trip. Amazing accomodation. Beautiful surroundings and rooms. Gorgeous decor. Has ruined us for other accomodation 😉 Great value as has breakfast included. Rooms were lovely and everything you needed. Lovely staff. Cocktail bar worth just going into to see the beautiful decor.... Complimentary juice on arrival. Meals were beautiful.
