Amazing overnight stay at Wineport Lodge for my wife's birthday. Such a unique venue and staff so friendly and helpful. Perfect for a relaxing break. Lovely dinner in the restaurant. Highly recommend the hot tub as well, whatever the weather!

The location, friendliness of owner, quietness of the location, and the breakfast were all exceptional and better than I had expected. The owner gave us good advice as to what to see and where to go, and even when departing and we told him where to we were heading, he recommended a restaurant to us which we visited and were super please with.

The house was so lovely and comfortable. The linen and duvets on the beds luxurious.The towels are large and really soft and fluffy. The location was close to the centre (15 mins walk to Sean's Bar), but it was so lovely and quiet.Great to park the car safely off the street. All you could need for a relaxing stay.

Really enjoyed my stay here! The place is super clean and cozy, and the view of the river is gorgeous. It’s right in the middle of everything—just a few steps from Schoen’s Bar, lots of places to eat, and even a hotel nearby where you can grab a nice breakfast. Perfect base for exploring Athlone. Rooms are enormous. Quiet, great location, big free parking space upfront. They were ready for a group check-in, all prepared so it took us less than 5 minutes for the whole group. Fantastic food, very affordable dinners.
