This is the third time we are visiting Cranganor and in different seasons and each time we go back home with very pleasant memories. Beautiful property on the banks of the Periyar and about an hours drive from Ernakulam. Do visit if you are bored of 5 star hotels but want a 5 star resort experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

I had the pleasure of staying at Heaven's Homestay in Kochi for four days while attending a conference, and it was an exceptional experience. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. One of the highlights was the food—delicious, home-cooked meals that truly showcased the flavors of Kerala. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared, and the quality and taste exceeded my expectations. In addition to the fantastic food, the hosts went above and beyond by arranging local transport for me, which made my stay hassle-free. The affordable rates were an added bonus, making this stay an excellent value for money. The comfort, hospitality, and affordability of this homestay truly set it apart. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kochi – a perfect blend of quality and value!! PS - One thing I would like to advise guests - to please call the hosts once they reach the Indian oil petrol bunk on the main road so that you will be easily directed to the place without confusion!!

Vala House was pristine clean, quiet, beautiful, and had a lovely staff who made us feel welcomed and home. Lallu, Kabeer and Shiji were wonderful! They explained everything about the place and the facilities and went above and beyond to make our stay very special. Our bedroom was lovely, had a great bathroom, bed and shower, and an amazing view to the backwaters with a private terrace.

Beautiful property, very spacious for family, beautiful views. Lovely and accommodating hosts. The check-in & check-out process was very easy. Felt very safe in the property. The garden outside is beautiful for families to relax. Despite having a river flow right outside the garden, the safety measures were very good and didn't have any worries with teenagers playing around in the garden. The terrace was wonderful - had a beautiful view and very accommodating with fans, lights and bird nets to ensure nice hangout spot in the night.

An amazing experience! It was one of the best homestays I've ever stayed at! The hosts are lovely people, very welcoming and super friendly. The breakfasts are so tasty too! Gokhan was super helpful, showing me around the local area, ensuring I could work comfortably when I needed to,and even organising a scooter rental for me! Close to some incredible beaches and great restaurants too. The local area is stunning and easily accessible to all the main spots by foot. I highly recommend this hidden gem if you want peace, quiet, and amazing hospitality.

The location was amazing, along the water, with palm trees and birds singing. A little paradise off the city for a wonderful retreat. The rooms are extremely spacious avec very well decorated, wth an amazing outdoor private shower. The food from the restaurant was stunning. A very large selection for breakfast, and even the most simple sandwich was to die for. Finally the staff was absolutely incredible. From the ladies at the gate, to the staff from reception and the restaurant. So considerable, thoughtful and very helpful. Special shout out to Danyia and Natesh who have made our stay absolutely stunning!

Booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and the service was amazing. Proactive follow ups and the hosts were genuinely caring. We checked in very late in the night but the hosts were very cooperative and stayed up late to welcome our family. They also woke up early in the morning to attend to our needs. Rooms were very big, clean and had all the necessary amenities. One small feedback would be to improve the WiFi and upgrade the plug points in the room for international guests. I wish Deepu and Anu all the best. I’m sure they will continue to do a bang up job in welcoming thousands of more guests in the coming future.
