The location is unmatched and atmosphere within the old monastery is such a privilege to be able to sleep and spend time there. Loved the chapel and the old room with the well. Service staff was very friendly and helpful and had nice chats with recommendations about Assisi. The room was spotless clean and loved the view of the Basilica from my window. Absolutely recommend to stay here, will be back!

Staying at Sottoassisi - Guest House was an exceptional experience. The location is ideal — right in the historic center of Assisi, close to major landmarks like the Basilica of Saint Francis, yet quiet and peaceful for a restful stay. The guest house is full of charm, with beautifully preserved details and modern amenities. My room was spotlessly clean, cozy, and tastefully furnished. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and well-equipped. I used Sottoassisi as a base to explore a wide range of Umbrian towns and cities, and it worked perfectly for that purpose. From here, I visited Perugia, Orvieto, Gubbio, Foligno, Città di Castello, Spello, Spoleto, and Trevi — all within a reasonable driving distance or accessible by train. Each day ended with a peaceful return to Assisi, making it the perfect anchor for my Umbrian adventure. The hosts were warm, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making guests feel at home. They provided excellent recommendations and were always available for any questions or needs. If you're planning to explore Umbria, I can't recommend Sottoassisi - Guest House enough. It combines comfort, location, and hospitality in a truly unforgettable way.

AMAZING. This has been the best place I’ve stayed in Italy. Diego (the host) was incredibly polite and attentive. The room was beautiful, clean, spacious and very stylish. The garden simply beautiful. The day and night view of Assisi breathtaking.

A wonderful location for combining rural and cultural tourism. Excellent level of hygiene and service. They have a farmyard with well-kept animals, the children had fun in the yard. The views from the place are breathtaking. A swimming pool is currently being built, which will be available to guests during the summer season. This place exceeded our expectations! The room and the breakfast were perfect! It is located in a peaceful area, just a 5-minute drive from the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi. Such an amazing place! The views are spectacular. And the staff is so caring and nice! They really make you feel special and we felt like we came to their real home. We had a wonderful stay at these apartments. Everything was exactly as shown on the website, both in the photos and the description. The place exceeded our expectations! The cleanliness was truly outstanding. The apartment was spotless, with shining surfaces and very cozy beds. We were surrounded by nature, birdsong, and tranquility. The terrace was perfect to enjoy meals outdoors. The apartment was well-equipped with everything needed for cooking, including a coffee machine, microwave, all necessary dishes, and utensils. The host was extremely responsive and helpful, always available to assist immediately with any questions or requests.

The place is so beautiful outside and so cute inside like a nona’s house. Very clean, good beds. Parking lot right on the property in front of a plantation of olive trees, so beautiful! 100m from the ramp to the basilica. Breakfast ok like in any hotel in Toscana.

The apartment is extremely spacious, very comfortable and nicely decorated. The two bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you might need, including food for breakfast. The location is fantastic, very close to the Basilica di Santa Chiara. There is a parking lot belonging to the apartment very close by. The person who came to greet us was extremely friendly and helpful.

No frills place, but quite comfortable and clean. Breakfast was ok. Free parking, because the hotel is away from the city center - it is a 500 mts distance to the center but you have to walk a very steep hill.

We loved everything about this charming hotel, located literally just off the town square. Close to the bus stop too, so quick access to the Basilica and Matteotti parking lot. Rooms accessible without stairs, lovely comfortable rooms with good AC and views of the old town rooftops. Amazing breakfast with the most delicious homemade cakes and protein options. The staff were helpful, making dinner reservations for us and assisting with travel. Highly recommended!
