The location was perfect for getting away from the busy streets of Tokyo, though I highly recommend renting a (small!) car to get here, as it is tucked away from public trsnsportation routes. Our room was clean, surprisingly well equipped and comfortable. Service was spot on, communication with our host was easy and quick. We never saw any of the staff though, which made the quality of service just that much more impressive. We were the only guests staying here at the time, so we had all facilities to ourselves (an introvert's dream). There were plenty of instructions in english for all the general how-tos, check-in and check-out was easy using the machine. Prepare to face some bugs around the area, we had a few interesting encounters with moths by the entrance. The room itself was equipped with bugspray and deterrents, though we didn't need them as our room was perfectly wildlife free. The bug screen in the private onsen kept the bugs at bay, allowing us to bathe and sleep while enjoying the sounds and smells of the surrounding nature!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful place with an amazing view. The rooms were lovely, well-equipped, and just a 10-minute walk from the beach. Lovely host family, everything was always super clean, enough toilets and showers (since everything is shared I think that's an important thing to mention), kitchen has everything you need, common room feels nice and cozy, dorm has enough space for everyone to keep their stuff and beds were comfy :)

The best experience in Japan. Owner offered to take me to the villa from the bus station late night, having a friendly chat which made me feel like home. Most importantly, the villa is super good for like 8 people, well-equipped and perfect view of the forest and the seaside. Quite a pity didn’t get a chance to have a barbecue because of the weather, which gonna be nice. (Since limited restaurants nearby at night, better bring some food. Heard that only a few restaurants offer nice food there.) I didn’t expect the next day the staff offered to drive me to the sakura festival free, completely becoming my personal guide. Such a great chat on the car and the staff also drived me to the station. The staff even send me message telling me to contact them whenever I got trouble in Japan. That warm feeling is a true gift when we traveling abroad.

We loved everything about our stay here! The hosts are extremely nice and very helpful with recommendations etc. It was so easy for us to communicate as foreigners too as they're fluent in English as well! They accommodated our late arrival, free parking and us not eating meat and prepared a giant delicious feast for dinner the next day. The building also has 3 private Onsens, which were really comfortable. Honestly, peak Ryokan experience, we're so glad we stayed here, cannot recommend this place enough!

The place is very well managed and the hosts were extremely friendly, a good location if you're thinking of staying near shimoda but closer to the beaches. There were also 2 private onsens free of charge that we loved using and the free breakfast was nice as well. There was also free washing machine service provided. Drive slowly to reach the entrance because it's a tiny road
