But by gosh the onsen water was hot! After our bath we were so toasty and warm we could have walked around in our yukata for ages! Fantastic location of hotel as next to Lawson and main info area. The ensuite was off the kitchen. The place was poorly insulated but the heating worked well. Free parking was 10m from the chalet. The hot spring baths were segregated and very hot. There was one pool each side about 3m x 4m. I didn’t like that you could see into the ladies changing room through the flimsy curtains. Breakfast was requested early at 7am and they accommodated this for us. Outdoor onsen was nice with cool night air to balance the hot water. Private access was also appreciated compared to most onsen which are public only. Dinner was not provided however we had a good wagyu beef dinner (yakinuku) across the road.
