Excellent place for everything, from the facility (the super comfortable bed, the stylish decoration, the beautiful pool) to the impeccable staff and the top quality food. We booked for 2 nights and extended as we enjoyed the place so much. The staff is super nice, speak perfect English and super efficient. A lot of wildlife around the property for nature lovers. All the food (both Western and Asian) we had were excellent at an affordable price. After 8 weeks of having different curries in Sri Lanka, I am confident to say that Bird Park makes the best curry. There are plenty of on-site activities to keep you entertained too. Overall a 10/10.

What a find this was. Clean modern rooms in beautiful surroundings with a lovely pool. This is the definition of a hidden gem. You simply must eat here in the evening, the food was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka and generous portions. We saw a wine store as we drove in ( less than 5 mins drive for those interested), when we asked about available drinks the manager offered to drive and get what we wanted. Breakfast was lovely and they even bought a fridge to our room for us to use. There are sun beds and tables and chairs in the grounds so we spent the evening sitting out watching the sun go down over the paddy fields, simply beautiful. If you are looking for somewhere fabulous to stay between Negombo and Sigiria. Look no further. You won’t find better.

Had an amazing one-night stay.The room was clean,cozy and well furnished with a big TV.Washroom was spotless with good water pressure.Wi-Fi was fast and reliable.The meal provided was fresh and tasty.Staff were friendly and helpful.Quiet location,safe environment. Everything was perfect.great value for money.Highly recommended!

Ruwanara Royal Majestry is by far the best hotel in the Kurunegela district and one of the best in Sri Lanka! It is a hidden gem and I cannot emphasis how much I enjoyed my stayed here !! To start off with the rooms are more specious than you can ever imagine, it is bigger than the photos ! The beds are extremely luxurious and big, the bathroom is so large and you have enough room to store all your toiletries. Next the room itself is equipped with a big wardrobe, iron and ironing boards, mini fridge and even a nice private study area for relaxation or business work. The staff, are the epitome of Sri Lankan hospitality! From the beginning we were made to feel very welcome into this property and with open arms they made our stay the best stay ever ! This is my home away from home and next time I am in Sri Lanka, I will stay here and will be recommending this hotel to all our family and friends as well! Special thanks to Kavindu, Amila, Anura, chef Priyantha for catering to our every need and making us feel like royalty with their treatment !! They were so kind and I will never forget their hospitality as this kind of quality and service is extremely rare to find ! The property itself is tucked away behind some beautiful paddy feels and our room overlooked the most amazing pool which is cleaned daily! The pool itself we have been in several times and it is clean and extremely refreshing on the warmer days. When we weren’t in the pool we were in the comfort of the AC’d hotel room, watching TV or sleeping on the comfy beds. A perfect holiday! Ruwanara is one of a kind and you won’t find a hotel like this anywhere in Sri Lanka or surrounding areas. We saw many magnificent weddings taking place and we learnt it caters up to 450 person weddings and can accomodate guests with rooms as well! I have recommended this hotel to all my family for any of their upcoming weddings as I think the service and location is just perfect !! I cannot wait to be back.

My stay at Iduwara Arana was absolutely delightful! From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. The staff's attentiveness and genuine care truly made me feel like a valued guest. The room itself was a haven of comfort, impeccably clean and thoughtfully designed with everything I could possibly need. What truly elevated my experience, however, was the impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my every need was met, always with a smile and a willingness to assist. Iduwara Arana provided me with a truly unforgettable stay, exceeding all my expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a relaxing and memorable experience.

An amazing location outside of the hustle and bustle of the city, we loved the tranquil surroundings, the facilities of the hotel are amazing and the staff! Best food we have ever had here for dinner - try the vegetable kottu!

We came straight here after landing in Columbo. We loved the room. It was spacious, clean, and had very good air con. Th bed was massive and very comfortable. We had a lovely view of the garden/farm from our private outside seating area. The older couple who live on site cooked us an amazing traditional Sri Lankan curry - it was delicious and was only 2,400LKR for both of us. Viraj was super helpful and gave us a lift to the hotel a few mins up the road where we were allowed to use the pool (for free) and where we had breakfast overlooking the river. The breakfast is a huge buffet with traditional sri lankan options, continental style foods, as well as waffles and pancakes cooked freshly. This cost us extra (5000LKR for 2 people), however it was worth it as the elephants from the nearby Pinnawala Orphanage come to the river to wash and bathe, and you can see them whilst you eat breakfast - it was amazing!

Very helpful staff, lovely pool and restaurant. The room was comfortable and spacious with great amenities. We loved our stay. We visited the amazing Elephant Freedom Project which was only 13 minutes away.

The host was very professional and followed up throughout the stay on our needs.

This is a beautifully restored heritage home with all modern comforts located just 5 minutes from the Pinnawala Elephant Bath. It sits amidst a lush garden and overlooks a working paddy field. Early morning you wake up to a chorus of numerous bird songs and tend to forget you are only 2 hrs away from Colombo. An added bonus is the cook Chandra who dishes out amazing food with such a humble demeanor and pleasent smile always. A hidden gem and a must visit !
