We had a fantastic stay! The staff was really nice and friendly. The manager arranged our safari, a tuktuk ride to see a local ceremony in the village and a car ride to Mirissa. Also, we got to see the cinnamon and fruit/vegetable garden. We had amazing homemade breakfast, lunch and dinner for a very fair price. The room was spacious and clean. Further, the location of the hotel next to the rice fields is amazing. It's nice to go for a walk and you have a great view from the garden and balcony. We can highly recommend staying here!

Where do I start? Staying at the Wadula in an exoerience, not just a stay at a hotel! The accommodation is situated in the middle of nature. This is why you're escorted by one of the brothers that own the hotel from the main road because otherwise you'd probably get lost. Think nature, think a jungle-like experience! If you're a nature lover such as myself you will love this place! The owners, Dulaj and Chamith, are the best hosts you could possibly imagine. Welcoming, all smiles, and extremely helpful. They can arrange a host of things such as transportation, packed lunches and, of course safaris in neighbouring (literally 50 metres away) Yala National Park. The safari, arranged by the brothers, comes highly recommended! We did the full day safari. Very good packed breakfast, yummy lunch and to top it all off we saw elephants and yes, the ever elusive panther! Go for it! Ask Dulaj or Chamith to arrange the safari for you! They know the best guides! As for the accommodation: you will stay in your own private beautiful bungalow. It has all the amenities such as flatscreen TV, WiFi, aircon, coffee /tea, and in the bathroom apart from shampoo, even conditioner, toothpaste etc etc. Wonderful! Each balcony has a veranda with a gorgeous view over the lake. A perfect place to relax in the evenings! If you love nature and if you love a quiet peaceful place, look no further and book the Wadula!

We had an amazing time at the camp. Staff was incredibly welcoming and helped a lot already with planning the whole trip, including arranging pickup and drop off after the stay and arranging a safari day trip. They were very flexible especially regarding our kids wishes and changes in plan from our side. We all loved it and will definitely come back again.

I had the pleasure of staying at Farm Villa Resort in Katharagama for two nights, and it was a wonderful and memorable experience from start to finish! 🌿 From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and heartfelt. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything. Special mention to the front office team – truly a gem in hospitality! The room was spacious, the bathroom was very big, and the overall comfort . The clean and inviting swimming pool was perfect for cooling off and relaxing in the serene atmosphere. What makes Farm Villa Resort truly special is its beautiful location surrounded by nature. The resort is set amidst lush paddy fields, and there's a charming little lake flowing through the property, creating a peaceful, scenic environment ideal for rest and reflection. I enjoyed walking through the paddy fields, listening to the birds in the mornings, and even got to pick fresh fruits from the garden! 🍌🌾 It's also conveniently located – just a short walk to the sacred Kirivehera and Katharagama Dewalaya, making it perfect for both pilgrims and nature lovers.One of the biggest highlights was the full-day Yala Safari arranged by the hotel – an absolutely amazing adventure! 🐘🦁 We saw incredible wildlife, and everything was perfectly organized with a knowledgeable guide.The food was another standout. The traditional Sri Lankan dinner was flavorful and authentic, clearly made with care and love. The breakfast offered plenty of variety, and every meal was beautifully presented. The dining team was attentive and courteous, adding to the overall great experience.In summary, Farm Villa Resort offers far more than just a place to stay – it's a place to connect with nature, enjoy delicious food, and experience genuine Sri Lankan hospitality. Gabriel and Sanjana were the most amazing hosts. They were so welcoming to us and helped us with every aspect of our trip. The food was delicious and plentiful and they were a wealth of local information and knowledge. I would highly recommend this as an amazing place to stay.

We were warmly welcomed by the owner, who is both kind and attentive, and truly takes the time to connect with his guests. He is passionate and genuinely interested in people. The safari was outstanding: a good jeep, quality breakfast and lunch, an excellent driver, and our host himself as a professional guide. He knows every species and gave us the real feeling of tracking wild animals together — and we were rewarded with amazing leopard sightings! The best safari service we had in Sri Lanka. The rooms are simple, clean, and functional, and the surroundings are beautiful, natural, and very well maintained.
