The owner is very helpful and came to collect me with his tuk tuk for free. The place is very quite in the middle of nature, just 300m away from the Gal Vihara with its energetic presence. The owner offered me an half hour night walk which we couldn't do bc of the rain. Bicycles can be rent on place and I loved to cycle downtown along this beautiful road along the river. Room is big, high ceiling with fresh air. Not hot, very clean also the bathroom. Furniture is in good condition. Warm water works, mosquito net ok. WiFi broke when I was there because of the thunder, but the owner went to buy me recharge cards for my mobile data. Nice garden.

We just spent one night, but agreed we could have stayed longer. The hotel was very calm and had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Everything was very clean and neat. The room we had next to the pool was very nice, and offered a nice little terace to relax on. We did not get a chance to jump in the pool, but it looked very good and the area arround it cozy with sunbeds and hammocks. The best about the place was definately the staff. Amazing service level and just so very, very nice people. If we are ever around in Polonnaruwa, we are returning here.

We are a family from the UK who visited Sri Lanka for a holiday. While searching for a good apartment or villa near the temples and relics in the Polonnaruwa area, we came across this little gem. Pearl White was one of only two properties available for our chosen dates. At first, we were a bit hesitant to book, as it was a recently listed property with just two reviews, both from local visitors. However, I decided to reach out to the property, and I was able to connect directly with the owner, Sisira. He was kind enough to explain the facilities in detail and share valuable insights about the place. Our conversation gave us a very good understanding and helped build our confidence in choosing Pearl White over the other options. It turned out to be a fantastic decision! We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay and we booked the entire villa. The location is excellent, very close to the town centre and major heritage sites. The villa itself is spacious, cozy, and exceptionally clean from the beds and linen to the toilets. Everything was well-maintained. We found every little convenience available, from matchboxes and a lit barbecue to massage bathtubs. I highly recommend this property without any hesitation, and we would definitely love to return. Special thanks to Sisira for taking such good care of us and always being reachable via WhatsApp whenever we needed anything.

Once we left the crowded Colombo we arrived to this magical and relaxing place, surrounded by nature and a few minutes away from Polonnaruwa. The place, the room, the bath, the hospitality and the GREAT host that we had really made our visit worth it. He tooked care of us and for everything that we needed, giving us recommendations, sharing with us delicious meals, inspiring conversations and moments that will remain with us forever. I had a wonderful stay at New Haven Polonnaruwa. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and very well-maintained — everything was clean and tidy, which made the stay even more comfortable. The surrounding atmosphere feels calm and relaxing, perfect for anyone visiting Polonnaruwa. The food was really tasty and freshly prepared, adding a homely touch to the experience. A special mention to the uncle who looks after the place — he was so kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed, which truly made us feel at home. Kithmi was the highlight of our trip! It felt like home from the moment we arrived. Hemantha and his sister were amazing hosts, they helped us with every little detail of our stay and cooked delicious food. We told them we love local breakfasts and then the following mornings they cooked us hoppers and dal etc. so if you like it local make sure you say so! WiFi was excellent and AC was perfect. Room very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the monkeys! Weather was lovely in July. If you’re short on time you could do Pollonaruwa in one day. The ancient city tour in the morning 8-12 and then safari (Mineriya or Kaudulla) in the afternoon 1-6. Not too much else to do in the area aside from reading and eating good local food. Highly recommend this place and we would visit again!
