An „insider‘s tip“ for travelers who will appreciate a beautiful and authentic home-stay a little off the mainroad, surrounded by Sri Lankan nature. We found this place by chance, when our tuk-tuk-trip from Negombo to Sigiriya got too long and we decided to take a break. Next time around, we will definitely come here again on purpose. Wajira and his beautiful family have welcomed us with open arms and open doors. We felt at home very quickly because of their friendliness. We enjoyed the Sri Lankan food, interacting with the family and the whole atmosphere. Thank you for everything!

Beautiful nature, location in old Coconut estate, lot's of animals, including wild boars and hornbills. The nature however comes with a price - it's far from any settlement, so either opt in for their dinner (very tasty but paid extra) or eat on the way. The personnel was helpful, the pool was clean and accessible even late at night, there was a lot of extra facilities which we didn't use but they are there (pool, speakers, bar, hammock etc). The bed was equipped with big mosquito net. Also besides AC there is a ceiling fan, which some may prefer. We hope to come again one day for a longer stay.

Amazing place with great food. We loved the cocktails specially the tropical fruit Mojitos. Really refreshing in the hot weather. We had papaya and water melon mojitos.... wow. Pool is amazing and you can feel the freshness. Tracking is highly recommended. Very informal place and you feel relaxed the moment you enter silver hill.

A wonderful and comfortable hotel in a stunningly beautiful place on the lake. A spacious room with a balcony overlooking the lake and the sunrise. Delicious food and a pleasant stay. I felt attention and care throughout my stay. Next time I visit Sri Lanka I will definitely come to this wonderful hotel.

We had a lovely stay at Jay’s. He is a great host and his sister is an excellent chef. They made us a great dinner and breakfast with vegetables from their own garden. We often read ‘the best curry’ in many reviews, but I can truly say that this where the best meals we had during our trip in Sri Lanka (and we had many good meals).

Everything Perfect getaway away from your daily hectic life. Just surrounded by nature, this place is absolutely a gem. The couple who looked after us was amazingly kind and treated us with delicious food, and their warm hospitality is one of a kind. This fantastic hotel is set in the middle of nature. If you like seeing and hearing birds, then this place is great, with over 25 species in 1 night stay. The room was large, the linens were high quality, and it was all very clean. We had a kettle for making coffee, good AC, and fan. We had a room with a great view over the garden towards the lake. The owner, Chandana, was very friendly and spoke good English. The hotel is very well decorated and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting to watch the wildlife at sunset on the bench provided. The garden is also a haven for wildlife and has a lot of interesting trees. He provided us with the best Sri Lankan breakfast we have had in a month. It was outstanding, with some of it made by his wife. Him and his staff member were very kind to help us change the wheel on our tuktuk, too. A wonderful place to stay. We stayed for a halfway point between Kandy and Negombo

This place was faraway from crowd for those who like to enjoy the calmest most poetic atmosphere. Though it was only 30 minutes away from Sigirya Rock which I really recommend visiting early in the morning. Mr. Ravi was very welcoming and generously kind and caring with two lovely little girls and his beautiful wife helping him. He served us many delicious plates, and suggested for us to go on a walk to the nearby lake and come back through the forest. I can’t describe how romantic and poetic the lake was, surrounded by the beautiful rice farms. The villa was huge and had an outdoor bathroom which gives a special feeling taking a bath in the nature.

We only had one night here. Beautiful location. dinner was a delicious classic Sri Lankan meal and breakfast was a great omelette cooked up by the wonderful Ashoka. The views are spectacular from the top of the hill. Also great view from the pool. Christo was also very welcoming and made our stay as comfortable as possible. He also took us on a bush walk around the property showing us all the different plants, herbs and fruits. If you’re lucky like we were you may spot a few wild elephants as well as the roam the hills around the property.
