My stay at the Iguana Azul was simply wonderful! If you are looking for a place to relax, quiet, with breathtaking views and extremely kind staff, Iguana is everything you could want to spend extremely happy days in Chefchaouen. Starting with the location, which when you arrive in the vicinity of the Medina you will walk about 5 minutes to reach the accommodation. It is located inside the medina, close to all points of interest, picturesque streets, restaurants, cafes. Speaking of coffee, you will have a transcendental experience when you have breakfast beautifully organized by the iguana staff. In addition to being delicious and filling, the view is stunning, to the mountains. I loved to spend at least two hours of my day there relaxing. There is also, on the floor above, a decorated Rooftop, where you will have a panoramic view of the blue city 🫂 The employees are there to help with everything necessary, such as visiting tips, buying tickets, recommending restaurants and whatever else is necessary. This place was exactly what I needed, as in peace and relaxation. Everyone working there, including the owner are very kind people. The hotel is situated on a hill, 20-25 min walk from the medina, from where you can see the amazing sunset. It's very spacious and clean. Breakfast was really nice. However, if you want to grab something to eat (lunch or dinner), the closest place is 15 min, at the mosque.
