This place was one of the best place I’ve ever stayed. It was like living in an Allende’s novel. The hacienda is a dream, the design, the room, the atmosphere, everything was perfect. I wished I stayed there longer than just one night. I could have stayed there for one month. Additionally everyone was super nice and helpful. Please got here if you have the chance to.

Hacienda San José Cholul is a special place and staying there is an exceptional experience. In the middle of the Yucatan countryside, it's a set of beautiful historic buildings surrounded by delightful gardens, and wonderfully peaceful. The old hacienda has been carefully modernised with attractive modern touches, including a stunning pool. The Yucatecan and Mexican food, traditional with sophisticated modern variations, is generous and excellent. What appealed to us most thought was the staff, who were all utterly charming, friendly and helpful and added greatly to our enjoyment. Recommended for a stay that's really a cut above the ordinary.

Boutique, luxury retreat a little outside of Merida. The room was fabulous - huge, giant and comfortable bed, big shower, great AC. Lovely pool area. Owners were amazing, treated us like family, nothing was too big an ask. Great breakfast and dinner options. Short walk from the main town square with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Internal car park available.
