The building is old and beautiful. It's kept clean and well maintained. The room is clean and nice. Views are amazing. The staff is friendly and professional. We had to leave early on our first morning there to catch the train (before the hotel breakfast time). But they cooked breakfast for us earlier. It was so nice of them.

The accommodation is perfect. The hostel's location is unbeatable. Just a 10-minute walk takes you to the city center. The surrounding area is super safe, with plenty of free and secure parking. By car, you're just 5 minutes from the most popular supermarkets. You can go for a leisurely walk through the area's parks, as well as to the city center, and you'll always feel safe. As for the facilities, everything is absolutely new and spotless. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. There are plenty of bathrooms, and they're always clean and fully equipped with soap, hand towels, and hair dryers! The showers have hot water and excellent water pressure, and plenty of space for everyone who wants to use them. It has many very comfortable seating areas with new, super-comfortable armchairs, ideal for relaxing with your laptop or cell phone undisturbed. The kitchen is something never seen before. All the cutlery, glasses, cups, and pots and pans are brand new. Plenty of space to cook, and above all, the necessary utensils. A microwave, oven, toaster, French press coffee maker, and all the kitchen utensils you could need. The best thing about this area is that it has a beautiful view of the street with large windows that allow you to enjoy your coffee in complete relaxation. The TV area is wonderful. The TV is state-of-the-art and allows you to watch all the streaming platforms while reclining or sitting on the new armchairs. It's also an excellent area to read a book or chat with the other tenants. One of my favorite spaces. At the same time, everything mentioned above has a classic and impeccable style that gives off an air of tranquility and comfort that I've rarely experienced in a hostel. Lastly, and best of all, is the attentiveness of the hosts. They are always attentive and willing to help with anything you need, improving and adding elements to the place to make your stay feel like being in your own home.

For me, this apartment is one of the 5 best I have ever stayed in. It beats any hotel I've seen in Cannes, Dubai, London or Barcelona. And for three reasons: 1. the architect really had an eye for technical details. Dimmable LED lights, glare-free staircase lighting, night lights in the bathrooms that switch on automatically and fly screens in front of the windows. Hallelujah! That should become ISO standard. I've stayed in brand new hotel rooms where there wasn't even a power socket next to the bed! 2. the great storytelling about the room (we were in the Gaynor Clayton Apartment). The artist was a former tenant, the brushes and her paint box. Her daily routine and her red hat hanging in the dressing room. How cool! 3. the attention and respect for us as guests. When we entered the room, soft relaxing music was playing (we loved it so much that it was on for a couple of hours), the rooms were aired. Fresh eggs, jam and honey in the fridge and toast. Not much, but great value for us travellers!

A nice location; a comfortable old house with many flowers and trees around it; a very big two-level apartment with multiple bedrooms (actually, for up to 5-7 guests), which would be very convenient for a family with children; a very good and fully equipped kitchen; a comfortable sofa and armchairs in the living room; a very secure parking lot; very nice and helpful staff members.

Good location just a few minutes drive from the centre of Dunedin, shops etc. Quiet situation overlooking the trees of Jubilee Park, with a small terrace. Handy street parking nearby. Well equipped, clean and comfortable (very comfy sofa!). Fastest WiFi we have encountered so far in our New Zealand travels. Useful laundry room. Appreciated the provisions of tea, coffee, sweet treats etc, and bathroom toiletries. Also enjoyed meeting the cat who came to greet us! Great value. Lovely stay.
