The whole place has an amazing energy! For animal lovers the house dog and a cat will kindly greet you every time you come home ;) You can chill in the garden or by the pool. Rooms are super tidy an beautiful - native style. Hosts are the best!! Very helpfull and super kind. We were really happy to meet them. The place has the best food in Nungwi! You need to try it for sure. Breakfast, lunch, dinner highly recommended!

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this incredible hotel during our trip to Zanzibar, and it turned out to be such an amazing experience that we couldn’t leave! We had originally booked for just 2 nights, but after the first night, we were so impressed that we decided to extend our stay by an additional 3 nights, staying until the end of our trip. That decision turned out to be one of the best we made during our entire vacation! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine care. The owner and staff went above and beyond to make sure every aspect of our stay was perfect. Their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction made us feel completely at home and created a truly unforgettable experience. The property itself is stunning, with beautifully designed furniture made from local materials, adding an authentic and unique charm to every space. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a balcony that gave us a beautiful view of the ocean. Sitting there in the morning, watching the ocean, was the perfect way to start each day. It was simple, peaceful, and exactly what we were looking for on a vacation. The housekeeping team did an amazing job, keeping everything spotless and ensuring we had everything we needed every single day. The hotel also has direct beach access, where we enjoyed the soft sand and stunning ocean views. The addition of private sun loungers reserved exclusively for guests made it easy to relax in comfort and enjoy the beautiful Nungwi beach. The cuisine at this hotel is absolutely world-class! We tried many other places around Zanzibar, but the food here was by far the best. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, every dish was crafted to perfection with a perfect balance of local flavors and international flair. The meals, paired with quick and friendly service, quickly became one of the highlights of our days.

I loved my stay at The African Bungalows. The best place I ever stayed. I was crying when I left - not joking. The owner, the staff. They are so helpful with everything and I mean everything! I felt so welcomed. It's a very genuine place and they made my stay in Zanzibar absolutely awesome. The room is gorgeous and clean. The bed and the shower are nice and you will feel safe here. The place is made with such good traste! Outstanding value for money. And the food, don't forget the food. Breakfast and dinner were delish!! Whenever I come back to Zanzibar I will come back here. I couldn't have been happier! Best regards to my African Bungalow familiy, I will never forget all that you did to make my stay such a great experience. I can highly recommend this place to anyone who is planning to visit this paradise island called Zanzibar. Your stay here will be worth while. 🥰♥️🙏

The hotel staff cared about me very much, insisted on sending breakfast to my room, and bought medicine for me for free. I care about my health and happiness every day. Room is spacious and neat. Supermarket and ATM is close to the hotel(2mins on foot). Breakfast is also good. This hotel has various shared like kitchen, garden, outdoor benches, etc. Especially i want to thank to owner and staff(victor). They are so kind and responsive and gentle.
