From the moment I arrived at the airstrip,the lodge had arranged for a driver to pick me up, to arriving at the lodge,the hospitality was exceptional. The staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind ,they made me feel right at home. The lodge is beautifully perched in the hills, offering stunning views of the surrounding forest and mountains. Waking up to the peaceful sounds of nature and seeing the morning mist drift through the trees was simply magical. The rooms at Kaara Mountain Lodge are spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed. There’s a perfect balance of comfort, luxury, and eco-friendliness. I especially appreciated the little touches, like the cozy hot water bottles in the bed at night and the warm turndown service after a long day. The food was another standout ;fresh, delicious, and made with great care. Each meal, from the early breakfast before trekking to the hearty dinner in the evening, was a treat. The dining area itself is beautifully set, making every meal feel special. Most importantly, the lodge is ideally located for gorilla tracking, making the logistics incredibly easy. After an awe-inspiring day of encountering mountain gorillas, returning to the calm and comfort of Kaara Mountain Lodge was the perfect way to unwind and reflect on such a unique experience.

I rarely give such a high evaluation but this lodge and the staff absolutely deserve it! - complete organization of permits and transport - very delicious breakfast and dinner - awesome service from super friendly staff, they even cleaned our shoes after the trekking and were attentive all the time - very clean and well equipped rooms - there is everything you need I highly recommend this lodge to everybody who search comfort after returning from the gorilla trekking in Bwindi. This place is magic !

Most amazing place where I have ever stayed. In the middle of the jungle, 5 minutes walking distance from the national park gate. They also helped to get the permit for gorilla treking. The staff is very helpful. The food is amazing. Thank you for your hospitality.

EVERYTHING. It was in an amazing location overlooking Bwindi, with astonishing views. The rooms were exceptionally clean, the staff, Jennifer in particular were amazing. I even got a push start when my battery went :) The food was delicious. If you are considering booking here, then please do! It was the best place we stayed in the whole if Uganda & Rwanda. Cylia and all the staff were fantastic and made sure we didn't miss anything! We are two young women and we stayed at the Ruhija Gorilla Guest house for one night and then tracked with the gorillas the next day but we would have stayed longer! Our room was fantastic, spacious, clean and with two big comfortable beds. The dinner they cooked for us was great and Cylia is careful to fulfil your every wish. Before dinner we visited the village (an experience not to be missed) we met the local people and visited the school and the orphanage; all the people are extremely kind. Wonderful place suitable for relaxation. The most beautiful views in all of Uganda. Very friendly staff. very good communication and the lodge also arranged permits for gorillas and chimpanzees. They took very good care of us. the food was also excellent.

Great place to relax after the gorilla tracking and enjoy the view from the terrace! Richard is the perfect host: he helped us organize the gorilla tracking close to the lodge, he took us on a culture walk to meet the local tribe and he made fire every night to sit by :) Highly recommended!
