We had an amazing stay at the Amherst Inn. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to downtown and plenty of great restaurants. The property itself is beautiful, and the breakfasts were wonderful. They make delicious custom omelets with your choice of fresh ingredients.

    The location was good, and the motel was clean and functional. I asked the manager if it would be alright to plug my plug-in hybrid car to a lamppost in the parking lot, and he was agreeable. I wish more motel/hotels had this option!

    Hot items available for "continental" breakfast (eggs, sausage, waffles and home fries). pretty clean room, king sized bed. check in any time very flexible (between 3 - 11:30 p.m.) Plenty of towels and washcloths in the room. One of which was folded into the shape of a swan. Plenty of parking. Guest laundry facilities down the hall. Mini fridge and coffeemaker in room. Cable TV. Do not disturb sign available to put on door. Unlike some places that claim to offer internet access, the wifi access here is good!
