I absolutely loved the garden and the breathtaking mountain views! The accommodation is perfectly situated—whether you're planning to hike or head up to Lesotho, the location couldn’t be better. The hosts were fantastic—warm, incredibly helpful, and always willing to answer any questions we had. The kitchen is beautiful and well-equipped, including an air fryer which is ideal for preparing light meals. That said, there are also several great restaurants nearby if you’d prefer to eat out. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully fitted with a heater to keep it cosy during winter. The full bathroom was a lovely bonus, perfect for a relaxing bath or a refreshing shower. Overall, a peaceful and comfortable stay—I’d highly recommend it!

Location was amazing, quiet neighborhood, beautiful views of the Drakensbergs. The cottage was a perfect size for our family. It had everything we needed and beyond. My kids loved the stuff animals and having their own beds. We loved the fireplace! Helped to keep us warm on the cold evenings.

    The place looks nice, and it is a nice spot to be for a night or two. There is on site parking and you do have your own little space and freedom. The bed was comfortabel, a much needed electric blanket was provided. The owner was friendly and happy to help where possible. And the place was clean.

    The friendly caretaker Wonderful met us on arrival, opened up , showed us around, offered any assistance. He even put roses in the room as a welcome. The 'cottage' is very spacious, neat and very well equipped. Views towards the Drakensberg from a sunny patio. We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay, and especially the fireplace in the lounge. Unexpected bonus was the garage where we could park the car, made packing in the morning easy. Everything was spotless and super comfortable beds.

    Very comfortable and very well appointed. A good working kitchen, secure garaged parking and lovely views across the dam and the Umkomazi River. WiFi was a very pleasant bonus although the signal could be patchy at times. Eclectic mix of furniture and crockery made it feel very homely. Great beds and excellent en suite bathrooms downstairs. Slept like a log!

    The peace and quiet and being a stone throw from the dam . They had WiFi at no extra cost due to no phone signal . DStv and OpenView HD . Kayaks at no extra cost . Undercover shaded parking , clean rooms and bedding. Very affordable rates with gas stove and battery powered light in the kitchen for when its load shedding

    Perfect little peace of “getting away from it all”. Stayed overlooking the lake but could also see mountains. Area very quiet. Cabin was clean and comfortable with cooking facilities. Nice to have separate bedroom from living room/kitchen. Parking close to cabin too. Lots to do but was raining so we relaxed watching the dam. Staff were really helpful and could not fault in any way. Also love the free roaming small farm animals. Not a positive but beware the potholes and n the way up.
