The whole place was beautiful, stunning view, very cozy place to relax after visiting Neuchatel or other close places. Located in Champ-du-Moulin in the Areuse Valley, Hôtel de la Truite offers spacious rooms with a kitchenette and a traditional restaurant and brasserie with a terrace. Free Wi-Fi is available. Everything. It's a truly cute historic hotel in a beautiful gorge I would never have found on my own. The rooms are nice, in a sort of historic-french decor. Breakfast is fantastic, nicely set, French bread, coffee to order, organic local yogurt, etc. Peaceful and quiet, a bucolic little river flowing by, walking trails, trees... it is all that it seems and more. Oh and fresh trout for dinner. What the French can do with a little butter, flour, lemon, and salt and pepper is amazing.
