The kitchen is very well equipped if you feel like cooking and they even had excellent wine glases to enjoy a great" SALUD" The host Ximena which welcomed us when we arrived made us feel very comfortable and gave us many good tips about the Island ,Gracias Ximena.. Also Andrea who was the person that I was in contact before we arrive was very helpful and it inspired me to choose this wonderful place. This was a family trip for me my 3 sisters and my mother and we all felt the warmth of everybody that works there and most important they treat my mother Gloria like a Queen. Muchisimas Gracias.

Situated just 600 metres from Pea, Cabañas Kitai features accommodation in Hanga Roa with access to a private beach area, a garden, as well as free shuttle service. I visited Rapa Nui for two nights in December 2024 and Kitai Cabanas was really the best place to stay and made my short trip wonderful. The hosts are lovely persons and make the guests to feel welcome. Even before arrival communication was great and all questions have been answered quickly. Pick up at the airport was included and drop off at departure as well. The cottage is spacious, clean and a fully eqipped kitchen (which I did not use though, as Kitai Cabanas is next to many good restaurants). Water dispender is in the room, which was convinient. Room, bath and kitchen have been clean and I had a nice terrace with garden view. There are many lovely cats arround. Bed was comfortable. Wifi worked well. I booked also an island tour with the hosts and Kevin is an excellent guide. Very knowlegable about the history and culture of Rapa Nui.

Plus the shower is amazing, and the bed super comfortable. Furthermore, everyone was so nice and welcoming!Everyone we interacted with was always ensuring we were okay and that we had an smooth trip. For us, that’s what makes this hotel, and the experience so special! We don’t have all the names but especial thanks to Ingrid, and Bruno! Ingrid really went out of her to make everything especial (and the food super tasty) which we truly appreciate. We also scheduled a two day tour through the hotel, our Gina guide was awesome, and we had a great time with her. Ultimately, our trip in Rapa Nui was super relaxed and it was thanks to the organization and help of the staff here.

The accommodation offers free shuttle service, room service and organising tours for guests. Takarua lodge was a perfect stay in all aspects of. They had a vehicle pick us up at the airport. There was no worry as the wonderful driver had my name written on a placard and had traditional garlands to receive us. The front desk was efficient and welcoming and the rooms were a delight. The space was well managed and the veranda was such a wonderful design over looking a soft lawn with bright blue sea just a bit ahead. Yes, the western coast line was a brief walk away and the view of the sunset was breathtaking. The location was a perfect one with the main town and swimming area just a brief walk away. Even the tour operator found it so convenient to pick us up. The break fast was so appealing and adequate while maintaining a good taste. They had adequate drinking water supply with a good kettle for tea and coffee. But the best part was Ms Angela the young lady who looked after the reception and the housekeeping. Her positive energy and helpful attitude made my wife and I truly happy with the stay. Well done Team Takarua Lodge. I recommend this as the best property in town as it was truly the best value for money too.
