We are two couples traveling together. Damiano was a treasure of knowledge about the area and a wonderful host! He even helped us look up ferry info and recommended a great taverna two doors over. We were comfortable and felt at home. Loved it!

It features a bar, restaurant, and accommodation with free WiFi and a balcony overlooking the Gulf of Patras or the mountain. Good location, very close to the city center. Sea view room is very large and has a solid balcony. Private parking available at additional fee, seemed safe and was not very expensive. Staff very helpful and polite made our stay very pleasant. Very good and diverse breakfast, a restaurant is on a top flour and has a nice view.

A big old hotel that performs perfectly! I say old because you can find many details from older hotels there is a telephone in the bathroom....This doesn't ruin your stay it just makes you laugh. They had the most comfortable (a pretty ) robes. The reception was friendly and helpful and very efficient. We got a free upgrade without even asking for it. We received a full size bottle of wine complimentary, and we only stayed one night! We didn't try the buffet dinner, but the breakfast buffet had great variety. You could tell by the very polite and professional staff that we met at breakfast ,cleaning the rooms ... that this hotel is run well and their staff takes pride in their work.

Occupying a traditional stone mansion with wonderful views of the surrounding area, Bacchus is a charming and luxurious pension 3 km from Ancient Olympia.

Bacchus is located in the picturesque village of Ancient Pissa. Its garden, large terraces and swimming pool area are ideal for relaxation and fun. A 10 is not enough to describe our experience in Bacchus. The inn has an amazing view (great sunset view too!) and a very cozy, rustic feel to it, aided by the basis on stone and wood. The room was spacious, spotless and fully outfitted with all the usual hotel equipment. All furniture and appliances were in great condition. The dining area is very pretty and the breakfast selection was varied and delicious all around. The restaurant has great food and reasonable prices. The pool is another highlight. It definitely is the cleanest one I've ever been to and is very beautifully decorated. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, they made us feel right at home from the very first second. I'll also have to praise Bacchus for being careful about conserving water and energy (e.g. 2 modes for flushing water, A/C goes on standby when windows are open). All in all, if you are in the area, this is the place to stay, no questions asked. We are already planning our next visit!
