They explained to us how to move around and solve all our questions, they were always willing to help us, even I got a wound in my leg and Ipul had no problem to ride me to the hospital and be with me all the time to help me to understand each other, I would never forget that :). I highly recommend this stay not only for the location and the facilities, but overall for the people who work there and the wonderful atmosphere you can get, thanks to all the travelers who pick this home stay. It’s amazing they’re really in the jungle but still nearby where you wanna be. A good price for what you get. Washrooms are nice and clean. Everyone hangs out in the main shared area (restaurant area) and plays guitar and plays cards in the evening (but not too late, quiet hours are respected). During the rainy season, you can swim in the pools of the waterfall that is literally one second away from the lodge.

Everything was well organized from start to finish. The jungle trek was unforgettable. We saw several orangutans, gibbons, and other monkeys. The guides were knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the environment, always respectful of the wildlife. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel at home right away. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. A perfect way to experience the jungle in a responsible and memorable way.

The owner was super helpful and was eager to answer any questions through WhatsApp from the moment we booked. Getting a trek was super easy through him once we arrived and the trek was amazing. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and seemed to always be the first to spot an orangutan out of nowhere. Example: "I smell orangutan poo. Give me one second." Then runs off for two minutes and beckons us over pointing up at the tree to a mama and baby very early on. The bed in our room was amazing. Like a firm memory foam. Same for the pillow. For me, that is an ideal sleep. And the location was great. It was right in the middle of the village, so it was about the same distance left or right to the end of the strip. Can't beat the price.

Mario Lakeside Apartments is a recently renovated apartment in Tuk Tuk, where guests can make the most of its free bikes and garden. The apartment is really large with a full kitchen and fridge. The fan is all you need and we did not have any issues with mosquitos. It is so quiet at night since it is quite far down the side of the hill from the road. The hammock right in front of the lake is so peaceful. The food from the restaurant is delicious!!! Absolutely great place to come home to after a big day of exploring.
