The rooms are huge and super clean compared to some other places we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka and also decorated with pretty art and beautiful wooden furnishings. The staff are super nice & extremely helpful. The pool is lovely, however, u should be careful not to jump around in the pool too much as my husband cut his foot on a tile at the bottom of the pool 😅 but the staff bandaged him quick and was super helpful. Other than that, the place is excellent & walking distance to the Main Street with cafes & restaurants. I would 100% come back to this guesthouse if I ever come to sigiriya again. Wish we could have stayed longer!! Breakfast is plentiful and good too.

Breakfast was excellent: a lot of different dishes, tea, coffee, milk and lemonade. For one person it’s more than enough. The staff is very friendly, the owner helps every time for each guests with transportation, excursions and transport to the dinner on dark time - because it’s dangerous to be on a road after 11 pm due to elephant attack. I really like this place - the location is very close to lion rock, you can get it by step. the room has soap, shampoo, mini bar for extra money - tea, coffee and sugar. the light in room is good, conditioner working, mosquitoes blanket is present. The hotel’s garden is very beautiful. I spent nice time in the Rate Sigiri Rock Side Home Stay!!!
