The staff is super warm and friendly. He tried his best to help for information and even turned on the AC before we arrived. So we had a warm room when we got in the room. He is the best during our whole trip in Morocco. The hotel is beautiful and the room is comfortable. The decoration is a little bit outdated, but that’s normal for a Riad . The breakfast is OK, meets expectations . The hot water flow flow is good. The room is quiet, though the praying sound from the nearby mosque waked us up in the early morning.

The riad and the room were amazing as well as the breakfast.

The property is situated 1.5 km from the Hassan tower and an 18-minute drive from Rabat Airport. There is public car park, at a location nearby and at a surcharge. Great location. Friendly staff. Someone is there 24/7. Clean. Air conditioning! Breakfast was good. They let us leave our luggage there while we walked around and before we had to catch a train.

200 meters from the riad, guarded public parking lots (5 dhs/hour) are available at the entrance to the medina.

Rabat-Sale Airport is 5 km from the property and Arrêt Bab El Had Tram Stop is a 5-minute walk away, which provides links to central Rabat. I don't know where to start because everything was excellent. I'd have to say that if you are looking for an authentic, welcoming place to stay that feels like you really are somewhere special, this is the place! I will start with a lovely breakfast with fresh ingredients. The room was cozy and the furnishings were rustic and authentic. It has a charm that you will not find anywhere else. The bed was comfortable, the shower was nice. The neighborhood was convenient. Just off one of the main roads, so it was quiet. But it was close to the main shopping areas; the central market was only a 5 minute walk. The kasbah was a 15 minute walk. Plenty of shops and nice restaurants around. But what takes the cake is the service, the people. The people who greeted us and made us feel welcome made us feel like we were part of a family. I do not say this about many places I visit. People around the world have been nice, but the family who run Dar Yanis, and the people of Morocco in general, are some of the loveliest people we have ever met. Thank you to the staff who made our first time on the continent of Africa an unforgettable experience. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Very nice new riad (opened in August 2024) with a nice courtyard and terrace and very friendly owners. It is in the middle of the Medina. I had an early flight and had to leave at 5 am and I was accompanied by the owner to find the right taxi and get on the road.
