Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Amazing location, right at the beginning of W6 trail and very quiet at night. Beautiful area to enjoy a barbecue/bonfire. You can get a optional breakfast and dinner on site which was very delicious. House was large with 2 bedrooms and huge kitchen/dining area.

There is a well-equiped kitchen. Bring sufficient food as the nearest shops are a 30 minute drive away. The road is very winding and night driving wouldn’t be advised. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Absolutely wonderful location at the start of the W6 Balcony walk. This accommodation is exceptional in providing absolute privacy as it is a private dome tent at the up end of the road, secluded from other properties. The place has AC, comfortable bed, indoor and outdoor seating to watch sunrise, private bathroom, refrigerator and kettle to make tea or coffee, and there is a private parking. From the tent there is an amazing view on the W6 balcony walk and to the canyon/valley. The accommodation also offer amazing home-made cooked breakfast and dinner with an option to eat at nearby cafe or in the tent.

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, pool view and a balcony, The MountainJewel Villa فيلا جوهرة الجبل is located in Jebel Shams. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Everything was stunning! The facilities were excellent. Highly recommend stocking up on some water and snacks beforehand as there’s not a lot around. But the home was exactly like the photos and the pool is heated. The groundskeeper was very helpful as well and showed us all around the facilities.

Escape to SAMA Heights Resort, a haven of tranquility nestled at the foot of the majestic South Mountain Summit (W4). Our resort is a mere stone's throw from the breathtaking Grand Canyon of the Middle East, offering unparalleled views and experiences. The location is fantastic. Honestly we didn’t understand people who complained on the food options, the choice was good enough even for our little daughter. My only advice would be to rent 4WD to get there just to feel more secure while driving. We went by Mazda 6 - managed to get there, thankfully, the roads were dry in April. There are some men on the way to Sama Heights trying to “warn” you that these steep roads will kill you car, be cautious since they want you to hire their SUV to drive you to the resort but that is really not necessary. This was basically the only problem in Oman - the drivers who are quite aggressively hunting poor tourists with saloon cars.

The accommodation features room service, a tour desk and currency exchange for guests. The dome concept was something we were drawn to, and it did not disappoint! The room was very big and clean, and both owner and staff were very helpful and kind. The accommodation is located high up in the mountain, therefore the night sky was very nice to watch as we could see a lot of stars, something that is quite rare when you live in the city. If we were to visit Oman again, we would surely book another night!
