Our glass igloo stay here was excellent! The bed is very comfortable and the hosts gave us a warm welcome! Although the room is a bit small, it has all the essentials tightly packed in different areas of the room. They also helped us book several activities we were interested in, such as Snow mobiling, Aurora hunting night tour with barbecue, and Day trip to the nearby Abisko National Park. The breakfast spread was amazing and the bread, vegetables, cheese and meat served are fresh and delicious! On the 2 nights we stayed here, we were lucky enough to see beautiful 360 degree vies of the aurora from the frozen river just a few meters away. After seeing enough of the northern lights from outside the room, we could also cozy up inside the glass igloo and see the dancing aurora display straight from our bed! The property also is quite close to forests and on one of the stays we saw a few reindeers roaming around the property in the evening. The stay comes with complimentary pick up and drop off from/at Kiruna train station as part of our stay, and a 1-hour session in the sauna, which is quite a bonus.

This apartment was super cozy. The living area and rooms were comfortable, especially the bed. The huge windows overlooking the lake was great especially for northern lights viewing. The hosts were accommodating to my requests and even messages me one evening to tell me the northern lights were happening. Would definitely stay here again!

I had a very pleasant stay in Överkalix. What was supposed to be only a stop on my drive back to Finland from Norway, really turned into a surprisingly relaxing and beautiful time. On the banks of the river, this motel is in Sangis just 100 metres from the E4 motorway and 20 km from Kalix. A cozy, clean and nice room at a very convenient location. The owner was really nice to us too. Good and solid breakfast.
