Our stay was fabulous.The hosts were very kind and helpful.We had delicious breakfast served on balcony with a stunning view of the mountains.Home made cheese,bread,round puffy pancakes,honey,fresh milk , Turkish coffee.The hosts make their own wine so you can taste it as well. We can not thank enough our hosts for the fantastic stay. If you want feel like home atmosphere and organic food Bujtina ANLU is the place for you . 🥰

Everything was fantastic, this is a brand new place on the outskirts of the old town at a great price. it is very beautifully decorated, just perfect. Our hosts were amazing, so helpful. We discovered that the website with bus information was incorrect and they went out of their way to help us. Her husband drove us to bus on his way to work and checked times in bus office for us and her son who works in Sarande found the information for connecting bus to Hirana from Sarande. All Albanian people we met were so lovely and helpful but this family went over and above to help us.

This villa is amazing! It’s next door to a few historic houses that have turned into musea. Actually this villa used to be a museum too but the owners decided to turn it into a place where you don’t only visit a historic house but you also get a chance to truly experience it! The rooms are big, bright and clean. Some of the furniture are from the 1800’s , it was very special to see it. There are old family photos on the wall too so the whole building has a rich history! It is also said that the prince of the Albanian kingdom in the 1800’s used to stay here. The location is perfect, it’s a 3 minute walk to the bazar in the old center and the villa is located on the middle of the hill. So not uphill or downhill but right in the middle! There is a garden full of turtles next door and the owner made amazing breakfast for us with products from her own organic garden. It was a truly special experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. Everything was clean and tidy. The owners of the house are extremely hospitable and friendly. We got the best emotions from our stay at Isaray Guest House. For an extra payment, you can order a delicious breakfast with bio products, I recommend trying it.

Comfortable room and bathroom, very spacious. Close to the castle and to the center. Since we had to leave at 8AM and the breakfast only starts at 8h30 the family was kind enough to prepare us a breakfast the day before. Available parking space.

The guesthouse was run by a very friendly hospitable elder couple. Although there was a language barrier (no English spoken) I managed to communicate with the help of Google Translate. We could park our car in the garage which was really nice. Beware of the road leading to the house: it is narrow and steep, so be cautious especially if you have a large vehicle. Our rooms were in the lower section of the building, they were clean and comfy. The breakfast was good with typical Albanian morning food. Although the guesthouse is not located in the centre it is not far from it. Perhaps a 20 minutes' walk to a popular pedestrian street in the centre.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Argjiro Traditional. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Gjirokastër, perfect for exploring the city.     We booked it because it was among the few pet friendly options in Gjirokaster (even though at the end we didn’t bring the dog), it was the best choice we could have made. A spacious villa with a yard entirely for us with free parking. The center is not even 5 mins walk away. We were very happy with the service and communication with our host. Whenever we go back to Gjirokaster, we know where to go 😊
