The hotel was remote but very nice, with cows walking on the backyard and deers. Really nice view in the mornings with mist around the trees. The whole area felt like it was connected with the hotel, good food in the restaurant.

The tranquilness of the area, the cleanliness of the property and the friendliness of Isabelle and Walter. You feel at home immediately the moment you step in. Worth mentioning that the house is cleaner than most of the European hotels I’ve stayed at. The house is right where the walking trails are. I walked from Bonnigen back to the house via the main road which was quite unsafe when it gets to the windy mountain roads so highly recommend to follow the designated walking path instead. I then followed the walking path from the house to Iseltwald pier which was an easy stroll down. Perfect afternoon walk and bus back in the evening from the pier to the house. Also, make sure you pick up some goodies from Marit Buffet (self-service shop) near the bus stop. The homemade Bratzeli I bought was delicious. Thank you Isabelle & Walter for the wonderful stay and memories in the town that I will cherish for a long time. Hope to see you next time if I get a chance to visit again.
