Richie's place is off-the-beaten track, so part of the adventure is getting there! The remote location is beautiful and serene. Richie is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. There is a covered area with seating and a hammock right by the pool; a well thought-out amenity. As a local (born and bred), Richie knows the area and has contacts everywhere. He is a wealth of information and knowledge.

Breakfast was sufficient and tasty; however, they should ask how you like your eggs and not just automatically bring them scrambled---both my husband and I prefer them fried. The coffee was good and you can have refills. Service is efficient but it would be helpful if breakfast would start at 7:30 instead of 8 ( for those who have business meetings or wish to start hiking earlier.)

I’m super happy on the excellent service received, starting with the reception to the attention at the restaurant. As a allergic person to a loooot of food ingredients they were also open and flexible with the breakfast. Plus the amazing view from the bedrooms and the spot they’re located at, in love of this place!l

All people in the hotel were very friendly. Cabins are nice and comfortable. The area is a paradise, sorrouded by forest, gardens, birds and certainly the QUETZAL. No doubt we will be back many times.
