Some parts of the decor perhaps are a bit old-fashioned, however, the apartment felt cosy and spacious (we stayed in the one called Frank) with a kitchen area, desk, table to eat and even a coffee table. It was easy to park and we could walk to the town centre within 15 mins. The staff were very nice and accomodated our request for late arrival, which was much appreciated.

    Exceptionally good bargain rate to stay here on a quiet winter night. Room was huge. Very thick carpets. Massive bed. Spa bath. Robes. Sofa.

    Very friendly and helpful staff. All food delicious. Buildings and surroundings very beautiful. Nice man in the bar in the castle. The staff in the reception and spa were truly helpful when I got ill. Really thankful for this help. Very dog friendly. The room was very beautiful. Birds singing outside.

    Very special location, off track and quiet. We did not go to the sauna or spa since we arrived too late for it. We had a late swim in the nearby lake, which was a wonderful alternative. Nobody there but us.

    Nice rural location, within a 2 hour drive from Kiel (for the Sweden ferry). Interesting range of buildings - from the original schloss (more like a grand country home, than a castle), a modern block and the one we stayed in, another converted older building. There is a big spa facility and pool, neither of which we used. Nice bar area for after dinner drinks. Great bathroom. Most of the staff were very pleasant.
