A retreat of peace and quiet within the Elephantine Island, gateway to the nubia. Excellent breakfast, beautiful view from the terrace and the most peaceful surrounding. They helped me book my tours, transfer to the hotel and also to luxor (visiting temples), I booked most with them and it was a great smooth experience, fair rates as well. The bedroom is quite comfortable and the toilet is good even though it is below the stairs.

It was nice to stay in Abu Guest house. On the roof you can find a sunny terrace and some sweet kittens. The room was small, but cozy, with fan and AC. Bathroom with hot water. Abu also changed our room via our favor. The main pier of the island in 5min by feet, but near the house you also can find a small pier.

Kafana, the owner of the place was so welcoming and helping. He provided a free boat ride to the island, organized all the tours at fair prices, and even purchased a train ticket to Luxor (of course I paid back the ticket price). I was taken care of with such great hospitality, and spent amazing days. Not to mention the air conditioned room, view of the Nile and delicious foods!

The owner and staff were so kind and made our stay perfect. Everything was impeccable. The food tasted like heaven, best meal we had during our whole trip to Egypt. There is an amazing view from the terrace and it was fun to see the beautiful sunset from there. I strongly recommend this hotel without hesitation.
