- it was really away from any noise, lightening etc, a truly virgin location - the host was very helpful and provided us with charcoal for bbq and logs for a fire for just 5-10£ - the cabin itself was very well insulated and warm during our stay - we had everything we needed

Lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff. We enjoyed a delicious meal after arrival in the evening, and a fabulous breakfast before setting off for the next leg of our West Highland Way walk.

The hotel is gorgeous and the area is spectacular! We spent one whole day just exploring the extensive grounds & surrounding woods - we then relaxed outside with glasses of chilled wine & beer, soaking up the views of the water. Staff were wonderful and the hotel was beautiful but the food kept us from going out for any of our meals while in this area: breakfasts were delicious and filling but the evening dinners were out of this world! We're still talking about how much we loved the food. Clearly, we had a fantastic stay and our only complaint is that we didn't build a few more days here into our itinerary. Our next visit to Scotland will definitely include a 3-4 day stop at Ardanaiseig Hotel.

A little gem, nestled on the northern banks of Loch Lomond. The chalet was beautifully presented with quirky touches with a Scottish flavour. Views of hills and Loch. Hotel with delicious food on site. Water-sport activities available in season. Five minutes to train station to access even more variety. Superb location to just relax or venture further afield.
