Lovely hospitality and really enjoyed our stay here. Nice and quiet and we were able to spend some great time conversing with the Owners and other Guests. Highly recommend you try this accommodation. Food, i.e. Breakfast & Dinner were great too!

We were in the area for one night and were delighted to find this gem! We live in Germany so staying in a country pub/hotel is always a treat for us, and this did not disappoint. We have 2 little dogs who were very welcome in both the pub and the room (and were even given treats and a cheeky sausage by the wonderful staff!). Our check in was smooth and we were able to book a table for dinner with ease. The staff were all super attentive and engaging. The room was comfortable and was everything we needed - even if the bed was a tad small, it still provided us with a solid nights sleep. However, without a doubt, the pinnacle of this stay was the food!! It was EXCEPTIONAL! And this is not exceptional for a pub, it was exceptional compared to anything! The duck was genuinely one of the best cooked and tastiest we’ve ever had! We’ve already recommended it to people and we are seeing how we can visit again on our next visit. Whether you stay for a night or not, the food HAS to be tried! Book a table and thank us later!

From the moment I stepped through the front Door of Home from Home B&B, I was made exceptionally welcome by John & Val, the owners, nothing was too much for them to ensure my stay was pleasant & comfortable. The accommodation was spotless, exceptionally comfortable. Superb range of items available for breakfast, the full English was beautiful, the croissants, fresh & flaky and a fresh fruit salad to follow was delicious. John & Val were so easy to communicate with, a minefield of local information for those visiting on Holiday. I can categorically say that this is one of the finest B&B’s I have ever stayed in & I have stayed in quite few around the world. A Very apt name “Home from Home” because that is what it is. The WiFi was provided free of charge, everything just perfect, 10/10 👍

It really is one of those places that seem to be taken from a storybook, its landscapes are truly wonderful, the cabins are very clean and cozy, they have a thermal blanket and you sleep wonderfully. When you wake up you can hear the birds, it really is beautiful

Stunning location, amazing, accommodating hosts. Every facility you could need in the cottage. Dog had enclosed, secure garden which he loved and plenty of walks around the farm. Close to all major attractions, beaches and towns in North Devon and Cornwall. Honestly, could not be better.

    The staff were wonderful and so accommodating, especially Therese, that angel! The place was very cute and comfortable, and the meals at the restaurant were delicious. Loved that it was dog friendly even if our own pooches weren't with us. The location at the top of the street was actually quite perfect for going on walks.

    Sea view room with a balcony. Clean. Beautiful location. Pub with a cosy and comfortable bar supported by locals and doggy friendly in the bar. Three local real ales. Very reasonable prices. Very good and unpretentious pub grub. Simple breakfast. Excellent sausages from local independent butcher. Garden. Friendly and helpful crew. Tip: If you loved the sausages, you can get them from Grattons butcher in nearby Barnstaple. TripAdvisor Torbayaotearoa 🇬🇧 🇳🇿

    Very good location, comfortable, clean. My dog was welcomed, parking onsite and I enjoyed my stay. Having read previous reviews, I do wonder what planet some people are from....this is a 16th Century coaching inn, with a lovely atmosphere and wonderfully quirky. There are plenty of budget chain hotels available for those who prefer that sort of thing. If I need accommodation in this area in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to return.
