Special thanks to our host Jacqueline, who not only provided us with the best accommodation we stayed at in our entire trip, but also went out of her way to answer our questions, and even give us restaurant recommendations! The property is really welcoming, the beds are great, and the showering facilities are 5-star level. We slept well as the property is in a quiet area, with ample street parking. The value for money is really great! We loved every minute of our stay and wished we could have spent another day or two.

    Couldn't fault this hotel - everything about it was great. The room, the food, etc. The staff are fantastic - so friendly and helpful. The location is great - just by the river and so ideal for walking our dog. And yes they are totally dog friendly. There is so much attention to detail and making sure the guest is happy and comfortable. I also like the fact that they have real plants and not artificial ones. Would recommend to anyone.

    Great location and dog friendly. The staff are friendly and professional. The lodges are simply amazing! The rooms are a good size, kitchen area is equipped with essentials (not food), the bathrooms are beautiful and the log burner is a terrific addition that makes for a very cosy night in. The shops and cafés are good too. A short walk to the Seaview Hotel where they serve wonderful food and have some terrific single malts along with all usual drinks.

    Firstly, you won't get a better welcome than that from Catherine and hopefully this review doesn't put you off staying here. If you are looking for a modern Premier Inn then this is not for you. The building is very old and needs some updating which the owners are doing over time. The building is steeped with history and you can see how magnificent the building has been. The friendliness and welcoming from the owners is a 10 out of 10. Excellent breakfast. A very dog friendly B&B.

    Great location in john o groat’s overlooking the sea. Just beautiful. A 5min walk to 8 doors distillery and shops. Very Modern studio apartment with everything that you need eg, iron, hairdryer, cooking utilities, plus extras like salt/pepper, tea,coffee, toilet rolls. Room very clean couldn’t fault it. Staff very friendly. pet friendly. Would highly recommend.

    We wanted a convenient, dog-friendly and comfortable stop-over en route to Orkney - the hotel gave us all of that, with really friendly and efficient service too. Although all the pet-friendly rooms are on the ground floor, and our two rooms looked out across the car park to the small road and river, it was a super-peaceful night's rest for us all. We also ate at the restaurant and were more than happy with our meals and the service there too.
