The host is the most hardworking man I've ever met, very polite, cares about his guests, always comes around to make sure his guests are good, always available, gives you all the information, help and support you need. Very focused, organised, hardworking with a smile on his face. You need anything? He's a call away. The hotel has everything to make you feel at home...away from home and that includes a surveillance camera to keep the property secure and make the guests feel safe. The hotel is adjacent to the Bus stop, a stone throw to the train station, and few minutes walk to basic amenities like supermarkets, pharmacy, eatery, you name it. The hotel is perfectly located at the heart of the Town. If you are visiting Ireland, ditch the big cities, start with Ballyhaunis and check into JAMES LYONS B&B, you will thank me later. It felt like home! Orla and her mum Breege made us feel so welcome. Our room upstairs was cosy and it was nice to be able to make a cup of tea. The beds were so comfortable. Parking was easy. Mum and I wished we could have stayed longer. Highlight of our holiday.

This was the perfect stay for our family with young children. The location was picturesque. The fridge had milk and water and there was tea, coffee and cereal complimentary. We were able to park right outside the front door. The cabin is so cosy inside, with really comfortable beds, great attention to detail and tastefully decorated. There was plenty of space. We especially loved the huge wet room ensuite and the flat screen TV in the master bedroom. We were even blessed with a fan to keep us cool on the hottest night of the year!! Outside there is a hammock and a trampoline which I'm sure we could have made use of had we had more time to stay. The cabin is within a short walk of several bars, shops and restaurants, which is very convenient. Overall, this is definitely one of my new favourite places to stay (and we are regular travellers). We will be back!

Great 2 bedroom terrace house very close to the centre of town. Close to supermarket, take always and pubs. Loved it.

Great location for exploring the surrounding area. I had a wedding at Ashford and it was only 15-20 minute drive away. Castlebar is only 30 minutes away also. Plenty of space. Beds really comfy. Really clean. Great facilities for cooking. Back garden with seats and a table. 2 bathrooms with showers and then 1 ensuite room on the ground floor. Pay and display parking but it was really cheap and we managed to park right outside the house everyday.

Charming cottage, beautifully set up. Kitchen well equipped, with everything you need. Bedrooms were fab too. It really is a gorgeous place all around, our family adored it. Our host was very helpful and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. Would definitely recommend.
