It was a great stay at Randy’s place. He and his wife was very welcoming and we had very homey feel. Breakfast was so delicious and he took us on a two hours trip along the lake bank and watched many species of bird’s, visited the museum. Randy’s place is one of the best and safest places to stay in Tissamaharama.

Incredibly loving and accommodating hostess who fulfills all wishes. The accommodation is in a quiet location in the middle of the countryside with a wonderful view of the rice fields (about 1km from the city center). The rooms on the first floor are very clean and spacious; the bed is comfortable! There is also a refrigerator as well as tea, coffee and a kettle. The shared balcony invites you to relax. If you need it, you can get a really delicious Sri Lankan curry (lunch and dinner) as well as a large, fresh breakfast. The hostess Milshani organizes taxis, tuk tuks and safaris for a fair price (the same as in the city). She prepared a breakfast to go in the morning and an additional breakfast during the safari in Yala National Park. I really enjoyed my stay in this wonderful accommodation with the great hostess and would recommend it to everyone!

Big and clean rooms, helpful and friendly personnel, about 40’ jeep drive to Yala national park. Great swimming pool and great food and drinks at reasonable prices. Very friendly, helpful and good English speaking host. Ideal place to stay for a visit to Yala and relax afterwards!

Our stay at The Yala Lodge was absolutely incredible. We had the great honor of being the very first guests – and it truly exceeded all our expectations. The villa and its private pool were so stunning that we actually postponed our safari by a day just to enjoy more time in this beautiful place. The villa is spacious, tastefully designed, and offers a breathtaking view of the lush greenery and pool. One of the highlights was being able to observe some wildlife right from the property – a truly special experience. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. Every meal was prepared with so much effort and love, and the food was fantastic. Communication with the very kind owner, Pradeep, was smooth and easy. He also provided us with great safari tips. Since we had to leave early for the safari (at 5:30 AM), they even packed us a lovely breakfast to take with us – such a thoughtful gesture. The rooms were spotless and met high Western standards – beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout our stay. All in all, we were absolutely thrilled with our experience. If we ever come back to Yala, there’s no doubt – we’ll stay here again! Thank you so much for this wonderful stay!

We had an amazing stay! The team was incredibly accommodating and generous—surprising us with a free upgrade and always ready to help, even with last-minute requests like organizing a safari and a fishing trip. The food was delicious, and Jula, who manages the house, was both precise and friendly. Dimuthu and his family were attentive and always willing to go the extra mile to meet our needs.
