Our host was very nice and helpful. He arranged the rental of bicycles to visit the temple, he gave us information to take the bus and good advice to find local restaurants. The location is very convenient, close to shops, restaurants and now far from the temples. The room was very clean and quiet. We thank you for the very nice stay :)

The house was spacious and set in a beautiful garden not far from the lake and within easy cycling distance of the museum and old town. The room was very clean, comfortable and well appointed with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden. The breakfasts are evening meals were generous and delicious. Binara and his family were friendly and welcoming . He speaks very good English and communicated clearly and promptly throughout. He went out of his way to ensure that I got the most out of my stay and was so kind and helpful in helping me with travel arrangements. He recommended a wonderful elephant safari with a very knowledgeable and experienced guide which I really enjoyed. This was a great base for exploring Polonaruwa and I would highly recommend Binara Homestay.

We are a family from the UK who visited Sri Lanka for a holiday. While searching for a good apartment or villa near the temples and relics in the Polonnaruwa area, we came across this little gem. Pearl White was one of only two properties available for our chosen dates. At first, we were a bit hesitant to book, as it was a recently listed property with just two reviews, both from local visitors. However, I decided to reach out to the property, and I was able to connect directly with the owner, Sisira. He was kind enough to explain the facilities in detail and share valuable insights about the place. Our conversation gave us a very good understanding and helped build our confidence in choosing Pearl White over the other options. It turned out to be a fantastic decision! We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay and we booked the entire villa. The location is excellent, very close to the town centre and major heritage sites. The villa itself is spacious, cozy, and exceptionally clean from the beds and linen to the toilets. Everything was well-maintained. We found every little convenience available, from matchboxes and a lit barbecue to massage bathtubs. I highly recommend this property without any hesitation, and we would definitely love to return. Special thanks to Sisira for taking such good care of us and always being reachable via WhatsApp whenever we needed anything.

Once we left the crowded Colombo we arrived to this magical and relaxing place, surrounded by nature and a few minutes away from Polonnaruwa. The place, the room, the bath, the hospitality and the GREAT host that we had really made our visit worth it. He tooked care of us and for everything that we needed, giving us recommendations, sharing with us delicious meals, inspiring conversations and moments that will remain with us forever. Beautiful, big house that you have all to yourself, in a spectacular natural setting. The host is extremely helpful and obliging. The downside is that the property is a little far from the main road, and not really in walking distance. That means that you are entirely dependent on ordering a tuk tuk (which, it must be added, the host is always ready to do for you.) This is not really a problem, but it is not as easy as being in the town itself.

It is located really close to the ancient town and to a beautiful lake where you can watch the sunset. The host is incredibly friendly and helps you with everything. The breakfast with the fresh fruit was exceptional. I would always come back.
