We had a really great stay here!! Tharanga was the loveliest host and they couldn’t do more for us. He has amazing English so communication was super easy. The pool is massive with a shallow kids section too, rooms are clean and comfortable. The food was insane, we had a few different curries and string hoppers for breakfast! They were very accommodating and let us order for specific times with vegetarian options It’s currently off season so it’s quiet, and they really kindly let us check out a couple hours later than the initial time. The whole complex is beautiful and they even had a ‘beer pub’ with a wide variety of drinks. Food and drinks were very reasonably priced and overall the stay was great value A little bit far from the town but this didn’t bother us as we just wanted to chill. Beautiful spot! Very quiet, clean, lovely room and bathroom. Beautiful garden. Very good food, staff super friendly. You can lend a bicycle to get to the wonderful beach. Downstairs room have airconditioning, my room on the first floor didn't so it was pretty hot. The owner told me they will put in airco in all the rooms.

The food was excellent, and the location was highly convenient, being close to the main road. The rooms facing the lagoon offered a stunning view, enhancing the overall experience. The stay was truly worth the price paid, with a calm and peaceful environment that ensured a relaxing getaway. Romina and Imeisha and the staff made our stay extremely comfortable with their kind and professional service. Highly recommended.

I came with the family, the owner did everything to make us feel comfortable and good, however not pushy. We loved our house, kids didn’t want to leave. No wonder, food was simply amazing, they adopted all to kids as they don’t eat spicy. Another plus is the organic vegetable garden. Everyone was so friendly. As staff had time they played cricket with my kids and on one occasion really quickly arranged doctors visit. I can not recommend them enough!

A good location for a hassle-free holiday in Kalpitiya, Dolphin Village is a homestay surrounded by views of the sea.

The girls Rashmi, Nimesha and Kawya are cousins, very friendly and helpful. The bungalows are near the sea, the food cooked by the girls with the help of their grandmother is excellent, peace and rest are guaranteed. There is an additional restaurant on the beach quite near. Local fishermen deliver fresh fish every day, which the hosts also prepare for you.

If you never been to Kalpitiya, it has a sense of being on the outskirts of civilization. Here you stay nestled among the houses of the locals and share the beach with its fishermen. Beside great kite- and windsurfing (and endless beaches of course), there is not a ton of things to do in Kalpitiya. Scuba diving is good, when there is visibility. Dolphin watching is also a possible activity, but quite an expensive one that last a couple of hours. You won’t find any city center with shops, bars and restaurants near, but you can of course visit other resorts and use their facilities. However you should know that you have a very good restaurant on site if you stay at the Sea Sand Resort! This establishment is made up of about 10 small bungalows with a restaurant. The bungalows are quite basic, but very clean and comfortable and represents good value for money. Within about 10 minutes or more on foot, you can reach surf schools and beaches. From my own experience I can promise that you will be very well taken care off if you chose to stay at Sea Sand Resort.
