Such a great place, the sweetest family and Randy has so much love for his community, the animals and his garden. We loved staying here, and hope we will be back someday. The rooms are huge, spacious, bright and new, and so is the bathroom. The garden is so cute and a great place to relax. Randy took us on a biking trip where we saw birds, animals, plants, trees and a stuba/tempel, he has so much knowledge and gives so much to his guests. Before we left we had a tour in their fruit garden, that was so interesting. Thank you so much Randy and family. You are the best.

The couple that run Lavender Home Yala Safari are absolutely lovely and really welcoming. We stayed 2 nights in the family room and it was spacious and clean. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, especially the Devilled Prawns. Their laundry service was quick. They also helped us organise our Yala safari with one of their regular drivers and he was great. We got very lucky and spotted a leopard up close as it crossed the road.

Very nice and comfortable place. the staff are very well taken care of and prepare breakfast before an early safari. at the same time, the staff is also invisible, so you feel that the whole villa belongs to you (if there are no other guests). we spent most of our time on the terrace by the pool, meaning in the common area, which was very nice to be around.

By far the best hotel out of 7 that we stayed at during our 2 week trip to Sri Lanka. The staff were great, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the food is sublime and the driver who took us on safari was very acommodating and good at his job.

Our stay at The Yala Lodge was absolutely incredible. We had the great honor of being the very first guests – and it truly exceeded all our expectations. The villa and its private pool were so stunning that we actually postponed our safari by a day just to enjoy more time in this beautiful place. The villa is spacious, tastefully designed, and offers a breathtaking view of the lush greenery and pool. One of the highlights was being able to observe some wildlife right from the property – a truly special experience. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. Every meal was prepared with so much effort and love, and the food was fantastic. Communication with the very kind owner, Pradeep, was smooth and easy. He also provided us with great safari tips. Since we had to leave early for the safari (at 5:30 AM), they even packed us a lovely breakfast to take with us – such a thoughtful gesture. The rooms were spotless and met high Western standards – beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout our stay. All in all, we were absolutely thrilled with our experience. If we ever come back to Yala, there’s no doubt – we’ll stay here again! Thank you so much for this wonderful stay!
