I was greeted by the host who spoke very good English. The place is very quirky and you could actually spend a day just looking at all the curio that has been collected. The room I stayed in was very roomy. Downstairs there is a very well equipped kitchen and a large dining room that you are free to use. Eating in your room is not permitted ( say for the odd cookie). Very close to the river and a promenade along the river bank where you can relax and soak up the peaceful views. Pharmacy next door with a convenience store over the road. I recommend staying here. Definitely value for money.

We really enjoyed our stay in this Vasarnīca. The whole process from booking to key pick up was hassle free due to excellent communication from our host. The property was in 5 star condition with everything you need provided. Beds are comfortable & house is extremely spacious with the bouns of a beautiful, large & private garden. This was our second stay there and it was fabulous. Just so unique and tastefully renovated. Also if possible ask for a tour of the historic village and the castle itself at the guest house. Bonus hidden gem Soviet memorabilia - starting from box of matches to mopeds and cars. Thank you so much.
