A personable family run hotel & restaurant with amazing attention to customer needs e.g. honoured my diet restrictions in food prep, 'real' lemongrass tea to my room every am in a French Press with a homemade cookie. Location very convenient to many local sites. The Casa del Sol is amazing! We did not expect it to be so good. Elizabeth, the owner, is so welcoming and the staff are excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and very good, and the whole atmosphere was like home away from home. We made some wonderful friends among the guests, but were also able to enjoy coffee by the pool in peace. Would not stay anywhere else in Ajijic! Thankyou Elizabeth, Efrem and Tatiana - you are awesome!

Charming, sweetly decorated hotel very close to everything in the old part of Ajijic. Loved the gardens with high ivy covered walls where breakfast was served. Lovely hand painted touches in the rooms. Quiet and peaceful.

This is not the first time I stayed at this accommodation! So therefor this is not my first review. Actually I extended my stay because I like it so much! Everything looks like on the photos. For me it was my "little home away from home"! Bed is good, bathroom is good, Wifi is good, small but efficient kitchen - all good. Nice outside area! Easy access through a code system. It is remote, but not far away from everything! And it is affordable when you look at other places in and around Chapala!
