I loved everything about Joy Source - the delicious organic food, the stunning views, the birdsong, the atelier, the peace, the spirituality and the beautifully designed accommodation. However what really made this place so special were the people in the community. They are some of the kindest most loving people I have ever met. We had lovely stay at this hotel. All the team members were friendly and helpful. Great communication, nice breakfast and coffee on the rooftop. Simple decor, but room and bedding was super clean. They also let us to store some stuff with them while we were trekking. I would stay again! Thank you for everything Aashraya Home.

I stayed here for one night (24–25 July) and everything exceeded my expectations. The owner was incredibly warm and helpful, making the atmosphere feel truly like a second home. The facilities were well-maintained, the place was spotless, and the room was very comfortable. It’s in a great location, and for the price, it offers amazing value. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Kathmandu! And I was even provided with transportation as needed. Kudos to Mr. Deepak for managing things in simple but efficient way!!

It's an amazing homestay, the owner showed me the must visit temples due to my short stay.We also had family dinner with other guests, sharing what was the day of us. The breakfast was delicious and healthy . The room was organized and clean, though it's an old traditional house but you still had a spiritual vibe, can't wait for coming back soon.

The place is really good! The people are amazing and totally helpful!! The location is perfect, in the heart of thamel, but the hostel is quiet ! I had a great time here, recommend it!

Overall this was a good hotel, as I expected. So I am giving them 10 out of 10 as per my expectations. I have no complaints, but at the same time do not feel anything stood out as being overly impressive. Staff were fine, but only did what was required, they were personable but not terribly interested in what you were up to, I had experienced far, far higher levels of friendly and personalized service at other places. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, so unsure what this is like. My standard room was quite compact, but not sure how this size compares to rest of Kathmandu. The hotel location was good, only a short walk to everything.
