PolandUnfortunately, our stay at the mountain cabin was not among the most enjoyable. We’d rate the cabin 3/5 – it definitely needs more care and attention. There was a general lack of cleanliness: dust behind the bed, dirty carpets, and bathrooms that hadn’t been properly cleaned. It was hard to feel comfortable in such conditions.
The beds also left much to be desired – the one upstairs was particularly uncomfortable, and the one downstairs only slightly better. The lack of a fence was another downside, especially for anyone traveling with a dog – it was quite inconvenient for us. We were aware that there would be no WiFi, but the absence was still very noticeable, even for simple things like planning hiking routes.
On the positive side, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the porch was a nice spot to enjoy breakfast. The surrounding area really makes up for a lot – stunning views, and we especially recommend the walk to Hayes Creek Waterfall. It’s just a shame the cabin didn’t live up to the beauty of the location.
