We had an odontological emergency that Jorge solved by making an urgent appointment with a trusted professional he knew of. We took the Coffee Tour to learn how little we knew about coffee. We also spent some hours watching hummingbirds.

Boasting incredible views of the surrounding mountains, Mirador Finca Morrogacho is a peaceful farm located a just 3.7 km from Manizales' town centre. Meals were excellent, and the owner's dogs were delightful. The owner was very helpful. It could not have been better.

Hotel Casa Galvez is located in Manizales, just 2.5 km from the city centre. It offers an airport shuttle service and modern rooms with free Wi-Fi. Everything bar none … looked after so well , wonderful breakfast , good room with hot water, very clean and well looked after and decorated . Reasonable for what it is .

By blind luck on our part, the location turned out to be perfect: easy walking distance (to the extent walking is ever easily in hilly Manizales) from the monument at the top of Chipre, as well as the Ecoparque, and next to the Parque de Aguas, a good place to catch buses. The staff was not only helpful, but seemed intent on satisfying our needs before we even knew we had them. For example, they arranged our coffee farm tour and advised on transportation. We had a grand room with a view of sunrise over the mountains.
