The room was just as described: very clean and well maintained, and the whole house is clearly cared for with love. If I had to “complain” about one thing — the dinner the host prepared for us was way too generous… we were absolutely stuffed! 😄

Palias is a lovely family hotel. I had a balcony where I could hear the river Loa and overlook the town. The mountains and river are definitely where to go to stay cool and relaxed in the middle of summer. I enjoyed delicious coffee and pastries for breakfast and had two excellent dinners. I can’t decide If I liked the cod or the gnocchi better! I finished dinner with this amazing pistachio gelato! The host went out of his way to help me and guide me to interesting local spots. He was above and beyond kind, patient, and generous. I can’t wait to tell other New Yorkers about this get away!
